About Me
While I am only in my 50s, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis a few years ago after fracturing a bone just from falling from a standing position. I always thought I took good care of my health, but I have to admit that while I always make sure to eat a heart-healthy diet and take supplements for brain health, I never realized just how important it is also concentrate on bone health. I am making great strides in improving my bone density, and along with increasing my calcium and vitamin D intake, I do some weight-bearing exercise several times each week for bone health. I think there needs to be more public awareness on bone health, so I decided to take the first step to increasing it and start a blog to share my tips for keeping bones healthy.
